OUR VISION FOR A BETTER HILLINGDON
Hillingdon Vision is a community-driven media organisation delivering local journalism, photography, and media support across Hillingdon. We work with charities, community groups, and residents to share real stories, raise awareness, and strengthen community connections.
We report on local news, highlight grassroots initiatives, and showcase the people making a difference—bringing attention to the issues that matter most in Hillingdon.
Alongside our journalism, we provide affordable media services, including photography, social media management, and website design, helping local organisations grow their reach and impact.
Every story we tell is rooted in one belief: strong communities are built when every voice is heard.

We recognise the real issues affecting our borough, from inequality to the pressures on local services, and we believe in not only highlighting these challenges but also the solutions and the people driving change. By working closely with residents, charities, and local groups, we ensure our platform remains inclusive and representative.
Our goal is to grow into a trusted community media organisation that supports, uplifts, and connects people. Because a better Hillingdon isn’t built by one voice—it’s built by all of us.

Real Stories
-Real Impact
Behind every story we tell is a real person, a real challenge, and a real outcome. Our work goes beyond reporting—we are embedded in the community, working alongside the people and organisations we cover.
We are a team driven by purpose, using journalism, photography, and media to support local voices, raise awareness, and strengthen connections across Hillingdon. What makes us different is simple: we don’t just observe our community—we are part of it.
This platform showcases not only what we do, but the difference it makes. The figures below reflect the reach, support, and impact of our work, highlighting the positive change that can happen when stories are told and communities come together.

Why Choose Us

Jigyasa Singh
Volunteer - Chief Reporter
"My time volunteering has helped me meet so many amazing people and experience opportunities I never expected.
I’ve had lunches with mayors, and then found myself out reporting on serious crime the very same day. It’s a role full of variety and real-life moments that stay with you.
I’ve even walked through fire —
quite literally — and still, every day brings something completely new. It’s exciting because you never really know what’s coming next, and that’s what makes it so special!"

Sara Carson
Small Business Owner
"My time working alongside Hillingdon Vision has been such a positive experience and has genuinely helped Butterfly Mind Works grow in ways I didn’t expect.
They’ve managed our ongoing media and also built and designed our website, which really reflects who we are. It finally feels like our work has a proper home online.
It’s been exciting seeing everything develop and connecting with people we might never have reached before.
Working with them has taken a huge weight off and let me focus on the work that really matters."

Hillingdon Stroke Support
Charitable media services client
" Hillingdon Stroke Support has been a real lifeline for people rebuilding their lives after stroke.
Working with Hillingdon Vision has helped us share our message more widely and reach families who often feel isolated at the beginning of their recovery journey.
The ongoing media support and website work has made everything clearer and easier to access.
This has made a real difference to how we connect with the community.
We’re seeing more awareness, more engagement, and more people finding the support they need."

Alicia horne
Trainee with Hillingdon Vision
"Four years ago, I didn’t really believe in myself and never thought journalism would be something I could do.
Now I’m a volunteer and trainee journalist, learning every day and building confidence I didn’t have before. I don’t hold myself back anymore — I just go for things.
I’m even going to university to study journalism, which still feels unbelievable when I look back.
It’s shown me that confidence is something you grow into, not something you start with."
