Northwood Underground Station closed due to a serious incident

On Wednesday 23 December, Northwood Underground Station was closed due to an unknown serious incident.

Witness reports suggest a person has been stuck by a train. The British transport police have yet to confirm this.

One witness to the incident said "I hope the person involved recovers, the station is currently closed and I am not sure how to get home at the moment, but I'm not complaining as there is a person injured and they should be priority."

Members of the public are urged to avoid the station and should seek alternative travel arrangements where necessary.

A large number of emergency vehicles can be seen in the area.
