Hillingdon Women’s Centre call for organisations to get involved with domestic abuse project

To help combat domestic violence in and around the borough, Hillingdon Women’s Centre are calling for local organisations to get involved with their new project: Workplace Safespace. Utilising funding from the Ministry of Justice COVID-19 extraordinary fund and the London Community Foundation, Workplace Safespace will train local organisations in how to spot Domestic Abuse warning signs, how to manage sensitive disclosures and how to best support someone who is a victim, or potential victim, of Domestic Abuse. The project offers organisations direct access to a Domestic Abuse advisor to help them write up to date Domestic Abuse policies and create a safe space workplace. Over the lifetime of the project, Workplace Safespace seeks to engage with 150 businesses and create 50 safe spaces. Hillingdon Women’s Centre is currently looking for local organisations to get involved.
